Determination of emission factors during continuous transfer processes of material in the formation of aggregate piles
Main Article Content
Abstract
Mining activity is an important source of air pollution where large amounts of particulate material are produced that generate environmental health and economic impacts. In the present work, the emission factors and rates were determined during the continuous transfers of material in the formation of aggregate piles in the UEB Canteras Mariel. It was obtained as a result that the emission factor for granite is, 0,015 kg, for sand 0,014 kg, for gravel 0,028 kg and for macadam 0,046 kg for each ton transferred. Emission rates were also determined by knowing the daily production by design of the plants.
